Jazz....loosely defined as a type of music of African American origin (New Orleans) pioneered by musically illiterate IMPROVISERS, the Key word! Many styles of music have been used as a vehicle for this "spontaneous composing" - hymns, Latin/ Brazilian, African ethnic, Show (Broadway), Dance and even Classical, with many different forms of improvisation evolving. These vary in complexity / difficulty but YHOB have tried to provide piano accompaniments to mainly mainstream titles which are "standard" templates and suitable for musicians of all abilities. Please Note :As the CDs are allied to specific books these CDs are not exclusively Jazz and may include some Latin & Blues etc. Similarly, there will be one or two Jazz tracks on CDs not listed on this page. |
