Our Aims

Many compilations of popular music in print rely on the purchaser having available a piano or guitar accompanist to provide the backing as they perform the tunes. However, for most musicians or students this is not possible. As experienced professional musicians and teachers we know that playing a melody without backing does not give the performer a complete picture of the composers' intentions and also makes practice dull and boring.

Our aim with the You Have Our BACKING range of audio CD's is to provide piano accompaniments for instrumental and vocal tunes already published which do not have audio backing (chords+rhythm) to support the lead line. We do NOT supply printed music or scores.

All tracks are recorded in real time - not computer generated - in most styles according to score sources indicated and each CD contains on average 20-25 titles. Suitable for most instruments , Concert, Eb, Bb and vocalists of all abilities (as indicated on compilation). An ideal educational tool for musical training, reading, timing, intonation, improvisation, performance etc.

Examples or recommendations of score sources are given eg. Real Book Standards published by Sher Music, and keys are provided where applicable. On the Cds all tracks are announced and count ins given.
